Tim & Snake Pictures

I wanted to be able to post a picture of my students for this year, but unfortunately, I do not have a picture of them with me. The picture is at home on my computer so I thought I would put the snake pictures on here. Tim was able to bring out his snake to my class the last week of school. Of course the students loved that. Tim told them about the snake, and then they asked questions. The were able to help "hold" the snake which most of the students just loved. After the snake showing, we had recess where Tim played tag with the kids. My kids loved Mr. Tim. He was able to stay for lunch which was a great surprise for the children. He had to take turns sitting on each end of the table for a certain amount of time so every one could talk to him. It was such a fun day for all of us. (I do not expect you to look at all the pictures, but how could I just pick a couple of my students????)

DONE!!!!!!!!!!

I will finally get out a quick post. Things have been super busy, but I guess that is every one's life. I am done with school, packed up, and ready to leave for Kansas tomorrow!!! I have been meaning to get pictures of my class posted, but I have not taken time to do that. That may come later. The most exciting news is that I am done with school and retiring at the age of 25 from teaching. (Maybe retiring is not the right word as I may go back to it eventually.) N-way, Friday, May 25th, was the last day of school. I had a wonderful school year with 16 great kids and great parents as well. I have had the best experience in teaching as I have had great classes all three years as well as great parents (of course the normal bumps and bruises, but overall, great!). I have also been able to help coach volleyball for two years with Katrina Hines which has been awesome as well. But now that is over, but great things are just around the corner!! I am going to be leaving tomorrow morning at 4:30 A.M. to go to the airport to go home to Kansas. (Poor Tim has to get up to take me... sorry Tim.) But it is like we say, the next time we see each other will be just a couple of days til we get married!!! I finally get to go home to hopefully help my mom as well as the church ladies in topping off the final details of the wedding. It will be so nice to be able to focus solely on the wedding and not have to mix it with school. We only have 17 more days until the wedding!!! We are so excited!!!!

Some Pics from Tim's Trip to Florida

Congratulations Mom on Graduating!!!

A couple of weekends ago I had the chance to go home to Florida for a couple of days, and be there for my moms college graduation. We are all so proud of her for sticking it out and finishing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, and look forward to being there again for her when she gets her Masters Degree (what a Nerd---- remember that shirt you wanted to get mom that said, "I ride with the nerd herd"). The best part of the graduation, besides the girl making fun of the lifetime achievement award winner, was watching the graduation on the Jumbotron in Right-Center field, and coming to the realization that the concession stand was open. I haven't been at too many graduations where Beer and French fries were available to the public! Anyways I had a blast hanging out with the family, seeing people at Berea, Making the S&K Men's Warehouse crack up when we got Justin his suit for the wedding (just so you know, you never button the bottom button of a three button suit, Justin got hit for that!...watch out, those suit guys are hard core...and sneaky, ask Garrett), and as you can see from the slide show we spent some quality time on the Nintendo, and beat Super Mario Brothers! What a weekend, the only thing that would have made it better was if Kristen could have been there!

Hopefully Kristen will be able to post soon about James's graduation and her trip to Kansas and Karen's Graduation! Busy, Busy, Busy!

29 Days and Counting

The title of the post says it all, Kristen and I have just about a month left until the BIG DAY. It has been quite a ride over the last month or so. The hectic end to another semester, the search for an apartment, flying home for graduations, pre-marital counseling (Next week is the finale, Crank down that AC Pastor Jim), beginning to pack up both of our places and slowly moving things to our storage unit, working, wedding plans.........and trying to find time to spend with each other!!! Speaking of the wedding it just seems like there is way too much planning for about 3-4 hours of your life, but hey Kristen is doing a great job and I just keep asking her what is on my list of things to do for the wedding. But as we reach the one month countdown it looks like everything is starting to come together. The wedding will be alot of fun and I just hope that it will not be too stressfull (for Kristen)! Also, I just can't wait until sometime in July, after we are moved in and unpacked in our apartment(since we move in after the wedding), and before my Summer OTI class starts, when Kristen and I can sit back and relax!

Quality Time with Kayla!!

I have been so lucky to be able to spend a lot of time with Kayla these last few weeks. Karis and Dan have been having French class on Thursdays so I usually get to babysit her!! I love it. We almost always do the same thing...go to the park (when she sees me she usually brings up the park!), play, and watch a movie. I also get to have cuddle time with Kayla which is my favorite. (The other night, she laid her head down on a pillow. All of a sudden she said, "Cuddles, Auntie, Cuddles". It was so cute!) We have also baked cookies together (although she did not quite understand that she would have to wait on the cookies to bake.) We have gone to the grocery store as well. I love every minute I get to spend with her as I know that one day she will be in Africa, and I will rarely get to see her. Unfortunately, Tim does not get to hang out with us because of work. Almost every time though, Kayla says Uncle Tim, and we call him. Usually she has to talk on his answering machine. I am going to leave some pictures of the different things we get to do.
