Mother's Day

I am so thankful to the Lord for my children.  I love being a mother.  Someday days are very long, but at the end of the day, I go to bed loving where the Lord has me.    Tim and all the girls were sick on Mother's Day so we didn't get any great pictures of the kids and I.  I took Timothy to church on Mother's Day and the sickies stayed home.  Just two quick pictures for Mother's Day.

Megan's 1st grade year

Megan had a wonderful 1st grade year.  Her teacher was Mrs. Titus who was a perfect fit for her. She was a very nurturing/loving teacher and also a great teacher academically.  Megan adjusted right away to 1st grade and just loved her year.  Mrs. Titus said Megan was just so sweet.  I think that is the perfect word to describe Megan.  The other description Mrs. Titus gave her was "Nervous Nellie". Such a true statement. Needless to say, her teacher knew her through and through! I did get to go on a fieldtrip with her to a pumpkin patch, and that was very enjoyable.  Her other field trip that my mom was going to go with her to was canceled due to rain.  She also started speech this year.  We are glad that she is getting some help in this area.  Megan started speech probably halfway through the school year, and she really enjoyed her speech teacher as well.   Here are some pictures of her 1st grade year. I didn't get as many pictures of the different activities as I would have liked, but I will use what I have.

Megan's 1st day of 1st grade...she was a little nervous on this day.

I love my oldest girl...she is growing up so quickly, and I love who she is becoming.  I have seen her grow a lot this school year.  I pray she will continue to develop into the girl God wants her to be.
Picture with her sisters before school.  Her sisters really miss her especially Emily. It was a good opportunity for Emily and Anna to learn to play together better!

My mom with the girls. My mom came over for the first day of school so she could stay with the kids while I walked Megan to school and got her settled.

This girl just keeps growing up

Mrs. Titus and Megan

Tim was gone before Megan left for school so we got a picture with him after he got off work with Megan.

Megan with Mrs. Titus at her music concert
Love the writing papers that she brought home.  Many times she wrote about her best friend Katy.

Another writing paper on when she met Katy

Last day of 1st grade

One last picture with Mrs. Titus. We sure wish she would move up to 2nd grade so we could have her again!

I got to visit Megan on the last day of school. She has wanted me to bring Timothy up to different parties in her class and such, but it was always during his nap times. So she asked for me to bring him up to lunch. She was so excited to have her little brother to eat lunch with. We packed extra food for him so he could eat with her!
We celebrated with snow cones for having an excellent school year!

The best part about getting snowcones was meeting up with the Wehrmans! Love these sweet girls!

2015-2016 Awana Year

We had another great 2015-2016 Awana year.  Megan was in her 2nd year in Sparkies. Mrs. Lois was her verse leader, and Megan loved saying verses to her!  Her Nana was her leader the rest of the night!  Emily and Anna were in Cubbies.  Mrs. Kathy, Zettie and Zane were their wonderful leaders.  I am so thankful my girls get a chance to be in Awana where they get to hide God's Word in their hearts.
Sports Night- Emily and Anna wore their soccer uniforms, and Megan wore her basketball shirt.  Timothy decided to join his sisters in the picture!

Crazy Hair Night
The kids always enjoy the Awana Grand Prix night where they make their own cars and race. We start the evening with pizza, chips, and brownies and end it with the Grand Prix race.
Megan ready to watch her car race.
Emily really wanted to win a trophy.  She is my little competitor. She didn't get a trophy, and we had to use it as an opportunity for a life lesson!

Anna- just enjoyed having a car in the race. I am not sure if she knew if she won or lost the races...

Megan completed her 2nd year book and reviewed it and completed an extra book. Emily and Anna both finished their Cubbies books too.

2016 Spring Soccer Season for the girls

The girls enjoyed another season of soccer. Emily and Anna were on the same team again, and they enjoyed having Coach Adam once again.  Emily showed her competitive spirit and really enjoyed her season.  Anna was so cute as she counted how many times she kicked the ball (Emily would tell us after the game how many times she scored so we had Anna count how many times she kicked the ball so she didn't feel left out!). She was able to score one goal which was really fun for her.
Anna- some of the soccer games were pretty cold in April
Emily- her smile says it all
Next year, Emily will move up groups so Anna will be by herself on a team.  Anna will miss her sister.
Another cute sister picture

Anna- getting her medal

Emily- with her medal

Huddle up
Megan played in the K-1st grade league.  She really enjoyed her season a lot.  She had a new coach this year and really loved playing for Coach Jason.  She had a good season and seems to be improving every season.
I didn't get many picture of Megan playing soccer.  But this was a picture after her first game.

One last huddle!

Kindergarten Round-up for Emily

I had to include this b/c Emily is so excited to go to kindergarten.  I have done preschool with her at home the last couple of years, and she has been so excited to go to actual school.  She was elated to be able to attend kindergarten roundup in April.  She was all ready to start school after that, but unfortunately she still has a few months to wait to start.  Here are some pictures of her fun night.
Emily doing her little activity.  They met with all the parents in the gym to talk to us, and the kids got to go to the classrooms and do different activities.  Emily was just loving it!

Emily is going to really be into her schoolwork!  It will be interesting how she does in school as she is so different than Megan.

March Happenings 2016

Here are a few activities we were able to do in March.

A fun date with  the girls' cousin Victoria at Braums. Anything that involves ice cream is wonderful!
Timothy loves his ice cream.

Yes, Timothy is standing on top of the fire place...any guesses who put him there?
Our family went to Dairy Queen the day they were giving out free cones!  We love free cone day!

My sweet kids!
And we can't forget March Madness!  Always have to get my kids decked out in their KU shirts!
My girls

Rock Chalk!
This was so sweet.  One night, I went into the girls room, and Emily was in Megan's bed.  She must have gotten out of her bed and climbed in with Megan.  Anna felt like she missed out so the next day, she slept in Emily's bed.  I love the memories the girls are making!
So sweet

Adorable!
Easter-  My favorite  holiday we celebrate-Christ rising from the dead!

The younger 3 got pictures with the Easter bunny at PAT and had a little egg hunt there.
Timothy looked so cute in his little tie. Unfortunately this is the only picture I got of him in it b/c he had to spit up all over it at the early morning service.  He never spits up????

We didn't get snow all winter until Easter Sunday. The girls just had to play in the snow right after church.  We let them play in their dresses it wasn't a lot of snow and was going to be melting soon! Megan enjoyed making snowballs.

Anna

Emily and her snowball....the girls hands were hurting after playing in the snow without gloves.

Easter picture of the girls...I wish I had gotten a family picture, but it was just a very busy Sunday and didn't make the priority list.
