2 More Weeks!!

I just wanted to post a couple of pictures at week 38...it is flying by still. Well, actually at night, it does not always fly by as it is hard to get to sleep, but once I am asleep I am gone. It just takes a while. I am doing well though, and we are so excited to meet Megan! Hope it is soon!!

Getting Closer!!

Megan's due date is just less than 3 weeks away!!! We are both ready to meet her!! I am now doing weekly Dr. appointments. My Dr. thinks that Megan may come earlier than her due date as she is very low right now. I am dilated 1.5 cm....so we will see. The doctor also says that babies have a mind of their own, and they may decide to stay in one position for a few days/weeks so she may not come early at all. It was very exciting though to hear that the baby coming soon!!

As far as Tim's job, it is going well. Tim says it gets boring at nights though. He seems to have no problem sleeping during the day so that is a blessing! I am trying to get used to this shift still though and usually tell him every night before he leaves that I wished he could stay with me at nights.

As far as house hunting, we originally were going to just rent an apartment. Then we found some houses in Derby (about 10 miles away) that were selling for a price we felt we could work with so we decided to look into buying. We did make an offer on a house (our first one ever!) and made a counter offer and such. In the end, we decided to not agree to what their final offer was as it was above what our highest price we were willing to go. So we are now back to possibly making another offer on another house. So....please pray that we will be able to find something soon. We both realize that we will may very likely not be into our own house before the baby is born (we are still with my parents...bless their hearts).

We did have our first teen activity with our church teens a couple of weeks ago. (Our church is a small church. We have our church teens which obviously come to our church, and then we have our Teen Bible study teens who come to Bible study on Sunday nights after church. These teens consists of non-church teens as well as teens from other churches and of course our own church teens...the first activity was with just the church teens.) We went to a corn maze. It was a lot of fun...definitely very Kansas like. We had to go through this huge corn field and try to figure out how to get from the beginning to the end. It had markers throughout the maze to confirm whether or not you were heading in the right direction. Now I am telling you, we went through this maze 2X's, and I definitely felt a little tired after that being like 36 weeks pregnant. It was very enjoyable. We are now trying to get another activity planned at the end of the month for the Bible study teens...(we will see how it works with a baby being born at any given time!!)

That is pretty much what is going on now. Just for the record, the picture below of Tim getting a pie in the face was with a challenge at AWANA. Tim told the kids that if they brought 7 new visitors on bring a friend night, they could throw a pie in Tim's face. I think there were like 10 new visitors so Tim got 3 pies in is face. The kids loved it!! The next one of us in Awana was crazy hair night!! Tim was crazy with some purple in his hair as well as it spiked up!
