4 Wonderful Years!

Yesterday, we celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary! I am so thankful for the wonderful husband the Lord has given to me. He daily shows me the love of Christ. Here are some pictures of our last 4 years! (All the pictures but the first one (obviously) are around the time of the anniversary...not on them!)

Our Wedding: June 16, 2007...I love this picture b/c our faces show exactly how happy we are. We were just announced as Mr. and Mrs. Tim Armstrong!! I love Tim's little fist up in the air!

For our 1 Year anniversary, we went to Luray, VA and stayed in a bed and breakfast there. Here in this picture we are at Luray Caverns. I am about 5 months pregnant here.

2nd Anniverary: Megan is about 7 1/2 months old. We actually spent our 2rd anniversary at camp with our campers and Megan! We snuck into town on the 16th (with Megan!) and went to this pizza restaurant (a little hole in the wall place!). It was not that good either. We should have kept on driving as there were better restaurants down the road. We were not familiar with the town!

3rd Anniversary: I could not find a good picture for our 3rd anniversary so this will have to do! (It is actually our Easter picture so it is a couple of moths b/f our anniversary. I need to take more family pictures throughout the year.) I was about 2 months pregnant on our 3rd anniversary with Emily.

4th Anniversary: This is what we just celebrated. We have loved our f0ur years together. God has blessed us with two wonderful girls. Megan is 2 and Emily is 5 months.

Looking through these pictures really makes me so thankful to the Lord for His goodness to our family! I am so excited the the many years to come!

Happy 5 Months!!

Well, I am about a week behind posting this, but it is better late than never!

Emily was 5 months June 5th. The time has gone by so fast!
Here are a few updates about my little girl:

-She has rolled over a few times both ways...not a ton, but some!

-She is a very happy baby the majority of the time.

-She has turned into a Mama's girl. She gets scared sometimes around other people and let them know she wants her mom. (Hope she gets through this stage quickly. There are times that she even cries when Nana has her. Megan went through this stage I remember, but she always loved her Nana.)
-She went for the first time on a swing this past month....and loved it!

-She is loved by her sister very much, and Emily loves her as well. She watches her so much throughout the day and smiles and laughs with her!

-She went to her first baseball game recently. She did not like the loud noise or all the people and cried for a while when we got there, but she did settle down after a while and seemed to get used to the atmosphere.
-She loves sitting and standing up. So much to see when you are not just lying on the ground.

-She loves pulling the blanket over her head to go to sleep! We go in there at night or during her naps and often just see her feet!

Can't believe next month she will be half a year old!

Just like her Mama!

Megan is constantly saying funny things that just crack us up! I need to start writing them down for memories sake. Here are a couple of recent quotes!

A couple of mornings ago, Megan was waking up as Tim was leaving for work, so Tim went into her room to give her a hug and kiss goodbye. On his way out of her room, she says to him, "Don't forget your lunch!" He just laughed. (I tell him that every morning along with what I have packed for him.) Then as he is walking out and she hears the door shut, she hollers once again, "Lunch, Daddy, Lunch!"

Then just tonight, I had just given Megan a bath and was getting her dressed for bed. Tim was downstairs with Emily playing his Tiger Woods golf game on the WII. We heard him say, "ARGHH!!". (He was struggling on a hole in his golfing game). I hear Megan say, "Sorry Babe, Sorry, honey." Again, I just busted out laughing! (She has obviously heard me say that a time or two!)

She keeps us laughing with her comments. She tends to have a lot of the same characteristics as me. (Tim says we should have named her Kristen Jr.!). That is a scary to me though as I am not sure I want her to have some of my characteristics. It really makes me look at my life and challenge me to be Christlike in my daily life. A verse I was thinking on that really needs to be on my mind daily is Psalm 19:14:

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

2 1/2 & 4 Months!

Well, I am a little late posting this. Megan was 2 1/2 years old on April 29th. Emily was 4 months on May 5. Here is a little update on my little girls!

Megan is a very fun, energetic girl! She is always on the go and keeps us busy and laughing. She loves her little sister and gives her hugs and kisses. She likes playing with her and her toys (I am not sure why baby toys seem so much fun to her when Emily is playing with them, but they do!). She has been pretty gentle with her so far so that is nice. Megan has turned us into a Frog family recently where I am Mama Froggy, Tim is Daddy Froggy, Megan is Megan Froggy, and Emily is Baby Froggy. She will hop up to us saying ribbet, ribbet and answer me saying yes, Mama Froggy. She has also been wanting to go to school lately and has even her bags packed to go to school. She loves playing with her play dough and making different things. She enjoys going to story hour at the library once a week and also enjoys her playgroup that we are able to meet with once a week or so as well. She is very excited that we will be able to go swimming in Nana's pool soon! I can't believe she is halfway to 3 years old....

Emily is 4 months now. She weighs 13 lbs. 3 oz (50%)and is 25 inches long (75%). She is a very happy baby. She gives us a lot of smiles and laughs. She loves watching her big sister play. She loves her saucer, and Megan is trying to teach her how to use all the toys on it. She sleeps very well. The last 2 nights, I took out the late night feeding, and she actually went from like 8:30-7:30 or so!! (I tried taking out the feeding 2 other times, but I had to get up for a wonderful middle of the night feeding so I am glad it looks like we are on track to be done with that feeding!). She takes three naps during the day as well. She goes to sleep very nicely in her crib by herself. She has been such a joy to us!

We love our little two girls! We are so thankful to the Lord for our little family of four. We can't believe at how fast our girls are growing. God is so good!

Happy Easter!!

We hope every had a wonderful day celebrating our Risen Saviour!! So thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ and His willingness to die on the cross for our sins and for His resurrection from the grave! The darkest day in history was over
All was lost on the cross
Beaten, battered, bruised beyond description
You gave it all, what went wrong?

This couldn't be the end of Heaven's story
'Cause You came to save, to beat the grave
Three days and now they're looking for Your body
But You were gone, and now I know

You saved the day
The day You rolled the stone away
The empty grave is there to say
You reign
You saved the day
You tore the holy veil away
You opened wide the prison gates
You saved the day

Rescued from the shackles of my failure
In the dead of night, You shined Your light
Your gift of love is hope that springs eternal
And because of You, all things are new

You saved the day
The day You rolled the stone away
The empty grave is there to say
You reign
You saved the day
You tore the holy veil away
You opened wide the prison gates
You saved the day
