Baby Update!!

Just a quick baby update!!! I had another appointment today, and it went well. Tim and I got to hear the baby heartbeat again which is so exciting. Baby seems to be doing fine, and I doing good too!! We are very thankful for that. The greatest news is that we are going to be getting an ultrasound in 2 weeks. We thought that we would have to wait 4 weeks from today, but we only have to wait 2 weeks. We are so excited to hopefully be able to find out the baby sex then...if the baby cooperates. While the doctor was listening to the baby's heartbeat, the doctor said he thought it was a boy. I said, "For real!" He said, "That is what I think, but I am always wrong so you should start buying pink." I just laughed!! So who knows??? Just thought that this would be a fun time for all of you friends and family to take a guess on what sex you think the baby will be!!! Please leave your guess and why(Tim wants to know why)!!

One other cool thing is that Karis (my sister) is going to my next ultrasound!! Since they will be gone when the baby is born (to Africa!!), she is going to come with me to my doctor's appointment to see the baby!! I am so excited about that as well. I am sure that Karis and I will be a little more dramatic with each other during the ultrasound. Tim will be on the side enjoying it but probably also laughing at us!!! Also, I think I will brave it and show a belly picture in 2 weeks as well...That is my thought now, but it may change...It would be the half way mark so that may be a good time to start the belly pictures!!)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Tim and I would love to give a huge shout out to our wonderful mothers!!! Both of our mothers really were a huge impact on our lives. They were both wonderful examples to us of godly Christians who loved the Lord. They took us to church regularly and taught us God's Word. They loved us and took such good care of us. They did even the little things in our lives such as attending our basketball, softball, baseball...games, helping out with homework, etc. They were very involved in our lives for which we are very thankful. Thank you so much Mom Varner and Mom Armstrong for all you have done for us. Words cannot say how thankful we are for our godly mothers. We love you!!

Wonderful Weekend Graduation!!

This past weekend was so much fun and very busy. It was a very special time for us as Tim graduated!!! We also had some family in town which was also special. Here a brief post on the weekend.

On Wednesday night, Dan, Karis, Kayla, and Krista came into town and were able to stay with us. We had a lot of fun with them. Thursday was a blast for Tim and our brothers (Dan, John, and James) as it was the seminary golf tournament. They were up at the crack of dawn to play golf. They all had a blast golfing and fellowshipping with others. During their golf outing, Karis and I hung out with Kayla and Krista and took them to the park and just enjoyed being with them!! That night, the family came over, and we had pizza. Later that night, Tim joined the Seelys going to Chucke Cheese to enjoy some games. I had to work, but Tim and Dan had a blast winning tickets and playing different games...(I think they had as much fun as Kayla!!!)

Friday, we had a doctor's appointment where we got to hear the heartbeat. I love hearing the heartbeat and am so thankful to the Lord to hear it at every visit. Tim's parents flew in during the afternoon so we also enjoyed being with them all weekend. That night was also the presidential get together for the graduates. We were able to enjoy the evening with Tim's parents, John, Bethany, James, Laura, Dan, and Karis. It was so much fun to have so much family around!!

Saturday, we hung out with Dad and Mom A. We enjoyed hanging out with them and catching up with them. We ended up going to a Norfolk Tides game that night with them and John and Bethany. It was great weather and a great game to watch. Unfortunately we did not have any foul balls come our way down the third base line.

Sunday was a very busy day. We enjoyed our church service, then went out for lunch. Thankfully, I was able to get a nap otherwise I do not think I would have made it through the day. That night was Tim's graduation. I was so proud of him!!! I am so excited of our next phase of life. The ceremony was wonderful, and as Tim said he did not trip crossing the stage so everything was great!!! After that, Tim's parents treated us to Carabba's!!! WE were able to hang out with them pretty late.

Monday, we enjoyed one last breakfast with his parents, then we took them to the airport. We had such a wonderful weekend with my family and his parents!!! I am still catching up on sleep from the weekend though as it was so busy.

I am so thankful for Tim and his graduating!!! Great job Tim!! I love you!!! More to come on our next steps in our journey after graduation as we are praying for the Lord to open and close doors as He wills.

Graduation Weenend!!
