Mother's Day

I am so thankful for the children God has blessed me with in our family.  The Lord has given me 3 wonderful girls that I get to enjoy, Baby Blessing who I never was able hold, and a baby boy who is on the way.  I have always been reminded on Mother's Day how thankful I should be for the children God has provided, but this Mother's Day had a little heartache as I was never able to meet and hold my Baby Blessing.  Yet, God has been so good to us.

I am forever thankful for my mother as well.  I am so privileged to be able to have lived close by to her for the last 5 1/2 years.  I never imagined I would be raising my family in the same town as her and working with her at our church.  She has been such an encouragement and help to me.  I am also thankful for my mother in law.  Although we are not able to see her as often as we would like, I am forever grateful to her in her raising of her son.  She has loved me as a daughter and I feel like family with them.

Here are a few pictures!
A week before Mother's Day, we had a mother/daughter banquet at our church.  I took Megan and Emily with me to this special banquet. They were so excited for this date! (Anna stayed home with Tim...next year, she will join us!)

Mother's Day with my sweeties!

After church picture of my grandma, mom, sister, and my 3 girls.  My mom cooked up a wonderful meal on Mother's Day...she is always serving.
I loved this picture of Anna with her Auntie KK. How fun it is to have Auntie KK so close to us!

What a sweet face....love this girl!

Sweet Sisters

You have to capture sweet sister moments to treasure, b/c there are certainly a few non-sweet sister moments in our house.  For the most part, Megan and Emily usually get along, but adding a 3rd child who wants to play (or annoy) to the mix, and there are plenty of moments of squabbles.  But, we do have fun times where the girls do get along and love each other.  Here are a few pictures to note the fun/sweet times by the sisters captured on camera!
The girls always loved it when it snowed in the summer, and they always enjoyed playing outside in in.
One day a couple of months back, I caught Megan "reading" a big girls' book to Emily. They were sitting their so nicely!

Another sweet moment...they were all 3 playing together nicely with their horses.  This was so fun to watch as more times or not, the 3 playing together ends up in arguments/fights.

A picnic in the kitchen with the girls.

Movie time with the girls.

I love this pictures. I am not sure what I was doing, but I was in the other room, and noticed it was quiet. I found the girls all drawing with markers on the floor.  I thought it was so cute how they all started doing this on their own and were just loving it!

The end result of their drawing on the floor. I so wish I would have remembered what Megan was drawing.

The girls were playing in the sprinklers on this certain day, and papa brought them a Sonic slush!! Fun times!

Grandma Armstrong got the girls a cross necklace for Easter.  They were so excited.
I love these girls so much.  I do get frustrated with them at times as life gets crazy, but I do love being a mom!

Easter

I wanted to get up some pictures from Easter.  I won't write much other than I LOVE Easter.  I am so thankful that the Lord chose to die for me on the cross, and that He conquered death and sin by rising again.   I love singing Easter songs on His resurrection.  This year was the first year that I went to the sunrise service for our church.  (The previous years, Tim has gone while I stayed with the kids.).  It was neat to sing songs and read the resurrection story as the sun was rising.  We had a breakfast at church, then Sunday School, and then a special service for Easter.
